Experience Swedish glass, world-famous for its design, taste traditional food and travel back to the time of the Vikings. This tour will bring you closer to Swedish Design and Traditions as well as showing you interesting and beautiful areas just beyond Stockholm City.
Enjoy watching the glassblowers at Steninge Glassworks, situated in the beautiful stone barn of Steninge Palace. The professional glassblowers produce glass based on the old Swedish handicraft traditions. Enjoy some shopping at the factory shop. A lunch will be served comprising of traditional Swedish food, which will include pickled herring, meatballs and elk meat, prepared in a special way. Your guide will tell you more about when and how the Swedes prepare and enjoy their meals.
Sigtuna is the oldest town of Sweden, join us on a stroll along the main street and follow in the footsteps of the Vikings who once ruled this beautiful town. Sigtuna is idyllic with its many small cafés and shopping opportunities. During the day the guide will tell you more about Swedish design and give suggestions about shops specialising in Swedish designed furniture, glass, pewter and much more.
